The Mayamatam is a Vastusastra, for example, a composition on dwelling, and as such it manages all the aspects of divine beings’ and men’s residences, from the decision of the site to the iconography of the sanctuary dividers. It contains various and exact portrayals of towns and towns just as of the sanctuaries, houses, manors, and royal residences. It gives signs for the choice of a legitimate direction, right measurements, and fitting materials. It means to be a manual for the designer and a manual for the layman. All around considered by customary planners (sthapati-s) of South India, the composition is of extraordinary interest when specialized conventions, taking all things together fields, are being investigated for their conceivable present-day application. The current bilingual version arranged by Dr. Bruno Dagens contains fundamentally altered Sanskrit text which is an improvement over the prior release by a similar researcher and distributed as No.40 of Publications de L’Institut Francaisd’ Indologie, Pondicherry.

The English interpretation, additionally distributed prior, has now been modified with bountiful notes. The handiness of the release has been additionally improved by adding an insightful chapter by chapter list and an extensive glossary. In the arrangement of Kalamulasastra early messages on music, in particular, Matralaksanam, Dattilam, and Brhaddest have been distributed. The middle-age messages on music, exceptionally, the Sribastamuktavali (No.3 in the arrangement) and the Nartananirnaya (No.17 in the arrangement), bring us up to the fifteenth and sixteenth century. On account of design, in spite of the IGNCA’s undertaking to distribute parts of the Brhatsamhita, the Agni Purana, and the Visnudharmottara-Purana, first, this has not been conceivable.

All things being equal, our researchers had the option to finish work first on a late yet significant content, in particular, Silparatnakosa. We trust that the segments on engineering in the Brhatsamhita, the Agni Purana, and the Visnudharmottara-Purana which originate before the archaic writings, will be distributed soon, along with changes and re-altered writings of Manasollasa and Aparajitaprccha. The Mayamatam is the fourteenth and fifteenth volumes in the Kalamulasastra arrangement of the Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts (IGNCA).
